He is a periodontist. He did his UG and PG from Nair Hospital and Dental College, Mumbai. He is a consulting periodontist. He also has a great experience academically and served till 2019 as Head of Periodontology at T.K.D.C, Kolhapur. He has a great interest in old songs.
